COLE COUNTY YOUTH DAY

Let your voice be heard about issues you see in our community and HAVE FUN too!

 

Youth in grades 5th - 9th (and their parents) are invited to join us for Cole County Youth Day! The event will be held on the Lincoln University campus starting at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday April 8th. It is FREE and open to all Cole County youth in 5th – 9th grades and their parents/guardians.

  • Community informational booths

ABOUT THE EVENT

Purpose

For the community to hear from local youth concerning what they see as
community issues and to then make youth a part of the solution.

 

Introduce the youth to positive role models within the community.

 

Empower youth and parents to be able to find assistance after the event.

 

Details

Event to be held Saturday, April 8th at Lincoln University practice field,
ROTC building and Jason gym. (no cost to participate)

 

Geared toward students in 5th - 9th grades.

 

Parents are encouraged to attend with their youth.

 

The event will begin at 1:00 p.m.

There will be fun, group activities as well as different ways for
youth to voice their opinions about solutions
they see to issues within our community.

 

Lunch will be provided for the youth and their parent (at no cost to them),
along with numerous opportunities to win raffle prizes, culminating with one large raffle prize
at end of day (must be present to win).

 

Positive role models throughout our community will be invited to attend
and spend the day with the youth.

 

Organizations will be asked to participate in order to showcase
the wealth of assistance available to families in Cole County.
(No cost to organizations to participate)
